GT2 Price projections

Anyone any views on whether the 997 GT2 will fetch premiums over list when they first come out? my guess is not as much as a '3RS bassed on the last GT2 experience?

I've had several dealers offer me +£5k (hardly worth it thanks!) for mine so I guess they are confident of making quite a bit more. If info coming out of factory is true and car really is going to be much nearer to the GT3RS in ethos than last time then I reckon it will be very sort after.

Wish I knew! It will be the first at my OPC and I'll factory collect which always gains ten days or so but currently, my info swings between late Autumn '07 to early '08 for release date of first cars. Nothing changes!

At the risk of everybody yawning I'll prob. go for some sort of silver - my 997GT3 looked cool in Arctic IMO. OR, I'll go the other way and go for Red!

Well with not many coming in next year - whatever colour you go for is gonna be pretty rare.

If those slats stay in the rear valance then silver would show them off really well. I can't help thinking that the pics we have all seen so far are not the finished article. The air rams in the uprights have done a 90 degree turn but the spoiler looks too similar to the 996. Perhaps this will change?

There was only a dozen or so MK2 GT2's.

There were 116 Mk1 and only 16 Mk2 (as I recall), but I think those numbers reflect what they were able to sell rather than any particular cap on supply. I would not be surprised if Porsche decided to somewhat limit supply to keep the car 'hot', but 17 sounds like a very low number.

I was told there will be 34 uk cars(so far) - 131k(+bits) - 530bhp. I wasn t given any performance figs, but I would assume low 7's 0-100.....

And re premiums, inevitable....

At first I was also told only 17 this year but now it has been increased to 20 in MY'08 and 20 in MY'09.
