The seats in my 2004 T350 just don't seem to hold me in properly, they have very little side support. I find myself having to push my knee against the transmission tunnel to keep myself still. Are there any upgrades available?
Has anyone fitted aftermarket seats?

Cobra will have an easy bolt-in version of this Imola seat, specially for TVR's, ready in about a month.

Bespoke trimming in leather/alcantara matched to yours is an option, as are embroidered TVR logo & carbonfibre shell.

But.... I'm first in queue! biggrin

Hi Lensey - Marc Pidgeon, Production Mgr would be pleased to hear from you, though they're waiting to complete mine before publicising. I'll post photos on PH next month for anyone interested.

I started it off as they're nearby & were quite keen on doing something special for TVRs - including their MD.

They're the largest UK aftermarket seat mfr, but appreciate it's caused many TVR owners problems to fit any seats in our tight cabins, and agreed to come up with a solution, hoping many others will buy. smile

So just e-mail or phone them direct;

Can Cobra guarantee the top of their seats will not rub against the roll bars? Bearing in mind all our cars are slightly different.

You're welcome. smile

Rolex - the Imola headrest is slightly narrower, was ok when we just stuck the seat in so we don't think it'll be an issue.

But I have to have the seat far back ... so we'll find out for sure next week when we try it on the prototype subframe.

Sounds encouraging. Will this just be for the newer S6 TVRs or will they fit the Chimaera and Griffith as well?

Same chassis/tub/trans tunnel/doors so should fit both, guess I could find a local Griff or Chim owner who has half an hour spannering time free to try it.

They've kept the car in the factory for a few days to ensure optimum fit when fabricating subframes. The seats also need a few cm off the edges or they'll not sit square in the tight space - as others have found with any other aftermarket seats. Collect end this wk smile

That sounds really encouraging. If the price is right then they could be sitting on a small goldmine there - I know of few TVR owners who are happy with the standard seats.

Not sure how I'd get on with a fixed-back seat if I found the pre-defined rake wasn't to my personal taste, but since I've never driven a car with them fitted I can't really say for sure.

Carbonfibre competition seats, custom-fitted to T350 & leather trimmed to match interior by Cobra Seats Ltd.

Tested around Rockingham at weekend, 10/10 and passenger agreed too. That extra support makes sure you're not hanging onto the wheel on a track, & really feels stable sliding around wet traffic islands.

getmecoat Just trying it out Officer ...
