Hiya,

I'm currently looking to buy a new portable Sat Nav that i can use in Spain. I've never driven there before so i will need something that is clear and quick with calculation (in case i miss a turning)
I've been looking at the new Tom Tom XL Europe, but at around 280squid its a bit much for the holiday, although it will still be used when back in the UK.
What is the Tom Tom 710 like in comparison. It's a bit older, but looking at the specs it seems to have a quicker processor and it also does Europe.

I've been looking at the Tom Toms as the missus has one in her car and they are really easy to use, which is why i've been looking at these two models. But if there are better ones out there on the market please could you advise?

thanks again

I have used a Navman ICN 510 for the past couple of years in spain, and its been prettu much spot on.
The only disadvantage that I can think of is that it sometimes takes a few minutes to locate itself, but once its hooked on, its fine.
