If he had hit the wall a few feet to the right it would have been a complete head on and I doubt the outcome would have been the same !!!

All credit to the speed of that response car reaching the scene

Found this too. Can't credit it I'm afraid, I downloaded it from racing-underground.com.

Still, check out his feet poking out of the monocoque:

Goodness! That looks horrible. The speed is really shocking... much faster than what the TV camera showed.

To put another perspective on this if you could be sure the car would land nose on you could probably drop an F1 car out of a plane at height (with no 'chute or only a small one to make sure it went in straight) and the drive would walk away.

Toyota might like to try it with Ralphhehe

None of the videos are available any more ... F1 management copyright issues it seems.

I can't see how F1 management can have material removed that's recorded on personal equipment ?!

The first of them was on the main GP thread on here and I posted a Rapidshare link to the same video clip towards the bottom of the page

I expect its a condition of the ticket to get you in the circuit that you cant sell or distribute pictures or video.

You should see the paperwork and regulations to film race footage from your own car for personal use in club racing !!!

That's what i thought - however at places like monaco (probably the only place at the moment) you don't need a ticket to watch the race

Yeah, but they restrict that kind of access as much as they possibly can.
