Hello chaps,

Is the exhaust/engine note considered to be louder on a x50 turbo rather than a normal 996tt...just wondered ?? .... when they are both totaly standard

I am getting my Tubi fitted next week, so should shake the street up when it gets home again..the noise they belt out is just fantastic (i know i`ll get a few complaints but who cares)

Thanks pal. How you enjoying the x50? I picked up my 996tt around the same time as you. Am starting to gel better with the car now. Big change from the TVR. (miss that noise so much but not as much as the missus!)

Let me know what the tubi is like.

Any other exhaust reccomendations for the 996tt? #Does it not come with a sports exhaust as standard?

Can't beat Europipe 'apparently' for noise/quality, there's a 2/3 others around the same price aswell.

Porsche did mod the X-50 exhaust system & it is slightly louder as standard, but only a smidgen!

An after-market system is a wise investment to improve man & machine interaction, providing it is well engineered (which I am sure Tubi will be) & doesn't create horrible boom at low revs (note: some can & do) just make sure you keep the original for best re-sale!!!

Awesome car, enjoy.

With todays trade bids deffinately get more for the missus!

Shes more of a petrol head than me.
The Tivver has a sporets exhaust fitted and sounded awsome. Could hear it from miles away. Just find the turbo a bit quiet.

I'm hopefully about to buy an x50 car. At moment it is fitted with a Eisenmann exhaust, which is so boomy (and irritatingly loud at all speeds/revs)that I want to change it.The garage say they can get their hands on a standard exhaust but I'm having my doubts now whether it will be the right one ,or a bit off a 420ps car, is it definitely a different piece? any one got a part number so I can be sure? Does anyone know which exhaust dms automotive fit as part of their 550ps ecu/exhaust upgrade? noisy ? ok? and finally anyone had it done? evo and autocar both loved it, any of you guys tried as I am sorely tempted, or is revotech any different/ better?
