Hi there,

No I am not lucky enough to have a 599GTB on order, but thought that if anyone was considering one and needed help choosing the colour then this thread would be a huge help.

All of these cars were at Silverstone over the weekend, for saying the 599 has not been on sale for long there were loads of them.

Dark Blue

Red

Black

Grey

Silver

All of the above are nice colours but think I would rule out the Silver and possibly the Blue.
This leaves you with: -

Red

Black

Possibly Grey

No, not the Grey definately Red or Black

Perhaps you should consider the 'Pentagram' wheels as they seem to be quite rare on the 599.

If you are considering a 599, I think you will certainly need a test drive. This guy looks like he's enjoying his.

I have to say the 599 is a stunning car. The shape just seems so perfect in the flesh and the sound it makes when pushed hard is fantastic.

Hope you like the pics.

Regards

Tim

Definitely grey or black, either way with tan interior. Now to find the money!

Thanks Tim, I have that agony at the moment although admittedly the spec date and delivery is some way away.

I too spent much time looking at and taking pics of the Cars at Silverstone but I'm none the wiser as to what to choose. Asking others doesn't seem to help!, my Bro says all Ferraris should be Red, Tony Willis (Ops Direcotr of Ferrari) says don't buy red, it's too big and I'll lose more monety but then he thinks my 575 looks like a fruit salad in Tdf Blue with Yellow Shields and Red Calipers so what does he know smile

Personally I like TdF but both my 550 and 575 were/are that colour and people will think I have no imagination, Black looks good for 5 mins when clean and the Grey is spectacular on a Sunny day but looks dull and lost on overcast days and IMO does not go well with the lighter interiors like Tan or Sabia that I'd prefer. The Rubino (sp?) Red is a colour I associate with over 80s in Rover 45's so sadly I think that's out and Silver looks great but it seems 3 in 5 Cars on the road are Silver

The agony of choice, Ho hum smile

What about that white one with the black wheels.
Not my choice, but nevertheless very unique.
Haven't seen a light metallic blue one yet either.
Whatever one chooses, those horrid pentogram wheels are a "no no".

tough choice...I like the Grey but can imagine it looking dull in the wrong light...BTW-what camera do you have.. It would have to be Black with a Zymol contract for maintenance....

That Burgundy Red with dark brown interior and the challenge wheels (possibly in gunmetal).
The dark grey would be a nice alternative though.

Want that one.

And not the Pentagen wheels yuck any colour except plain red, the dark blue and black look good (but black only looks good for the first 30 seconds after a 6 hour detailing session then it gets covered in shite). Like the look of grey as well, very understated.

All very academic as I will never be in your current position, but have fun and hope you enjoy it.
