Hi all

ive just purchased my dream car
cerbera 4.2
bright yellow
and its great

i got it at what i would call a great price
its a 98 R 44000 mls
i paid £8400 for it
service history etc

however it is on the hpi register as a cat C
this happened in 2003
it seems to have only had fiber glass repaiered

it has been fully repaired and without prior knowelage you cant tell it was ever damaged

is the reason that it is a cat C not cat D
because the damaged body parts are so hard to get

does this happen alot with fiber glass cars?
i am very happy with it though
and i think i have saved a good few grand

i am very very happy with it
any thoughts on the cat c

kind regards Dave

Because of the cost of replacement panels and amount of time involved in repairing fibre-glass many insurance companies choose to writeoff rather than repair. As long as you are happy with the car I wouldn't worry about it.

Welcome - got any pictures smile

Is there a problem with Cat C/D cars. Cerberas are rare enough already, so I'm glad some make it back onto the road when damaged.

hi
yes its that one advertised at £8750

it looked as good if not better in the flesh
so i could not resist

its always been my dream car
and i thought i would have to pay 13-16 grand for a decent one
so although this one is on the register cat c
nobody would know with seeing the papper work
so who cares

i know when i come to sell it i wont get full price
but hey its all relative

thanks Dave

I think you want the VIC info section from above.

TBH, as soon as I saw there where no pictures I switched off and stopped reading wink

Ha, the only thing left of repair on that may havebeen the steering wheel, dials etc smashed!

And he hit a barrier then went into a small wood full of BIG trees! you can go back to where he crashd and find some big lumpsof fibreglass stuck in the trees hehe

Yep he made it! even thoughwhen i first seen him in oxygen masks etc i thouh the worst of it! about 4 weeks after the accident he was ok, it's now been 8 months!

Good luck with your car, andcount yourself lucky you've not got ours wink
