When replacing the battery recently, I noticed that I had had a small visitor. I had noticed a strange smell before and put that down to just about anything but a mouse!!!
Has any one else had such a problem and if so how did you get rid of the creature? I think that mine has left on its own accord but who says it won't come back!! I live in the middle of farmland, where mice are not unknown, but how did he/she get in? How do I prevent he/she entering the car again?

Could be nasty that. New someone with a 911 once with a mouse problem, little git chewed through wiring ,upolstery and everything else it could get its teeth into!!!
I think your only solution would be to attach an owl to the car via a length of string so it could constantly patrol and swoop on unwanted vermin. Apparently this was a less popular TVR optional extra. When supplies of owls became scarce customers often found their cars fitted with Kestrels,or Hawks dependant on what TVR had in the parts bin.
Refer to your Steve Heath bible for a full guide on retrofitting birds of prey to your chim.

I had big problems with mice until I started putting a mouse trap on the garage floor next to each wheel. After several years and modifications to the garage doors, this year, for the first year in 14, we didn't catch any in the garage (*). The little sods can get in anywhere you can fit your little finger, and they're expert climbers.

at the airfield, as well as poison (gotta be swift with it, otherwise they munch it and get used to "the rush"!), we put trays with a dieselly rag in it.
One guy also uses a ultra-sonic movement sensor... hurts my ears when I go near it... I'm not sure what that means!
Now... where's the cheese...
