Collecting the "Orange one" next week smile and have 2 queries

1. I've seen a number of threads for paint protection (Venture Shield etc) and would appreciate a quick update on anyone's experiences/recommendations. A number of owners have also commented that the rear wheel arches tend to prone to chipping and I'd like to know if these can be protected?

2. Any advice on Insurers. Mine won't quote on cars over £100K

Cheers

yes A Manning for insurance.

I had my 997 RS PaintShielded and I am quite pleased with the result. The only thing that was not explained before the work was done was that the full bonnet protection is done in 3 pieces. The material is just not quite big enough to do it in one so you end up with 1 small piece on each side at the very top of the bonnet.

They also did the front of the rear arches which do get covered in sh1t out here in the country. Might be worth getting them to do the inner edge of the arches and the rear bottom quadrant behind the rear wheel arch as these areas attract a lot of dirt that is flung off the rear tyres. After a while these areas will become stone chipped I think.

All panels are CNC cut, absolutely no trimming on the car and the fit is excellent. Easy to keep clean and the bugs don't seem to stick like they do to paint - you know, the bodily fluid smear that is a b*gger to get of your paint just seems to wash off the film. I think it is really worth doing especially if you are going to track the car and I would use PaintShield again.

Hope you enjoy the car - its awesome.
