Sony DSC S90 Batteries

Quick question, is it ok to use normal AA batteries in this camera instead of the sony rechargable one's provided?

Yup.

We did it at the electronics store all the time, and I didn't notice any adverse effects, at any rate.

But I would advise using one-time-use lithium AA's as disposables instead... otherwise you'll be going through regular AA's faster than crap through a goose. (I've wanted to use that expression for a while...)
