Hi Guys

Got "Sophie" back today with the new Revision D sinthered clutch.....

Boy is that a nice clutch, gear change is very very smooth compared to the E version - IMHO.

I'm a happy bunny again :-D

The Revision E clutch is what comes in the 06 Gallardo and onwards. The D version is an upgraded version apparently it is a race clutch...and allegedly "bullet proof"

It does make a BIG difference to how the car feels when changing gear. I'm impressed.....

So can this 'new D sintered clutch' take some proper stick then?

I thought the clutches went A/B (made from swiss cheese), C (much better), D (better still), E (the latest version).

Is the Revision D Sintered clutch just a racing version of the earlier Type D clutch then?

according to the people I have spoken to it is really good, like a proper clutch lol! (I'm so funny)

But some guy who I spoke to at Lambo power reckons he has one, and launches it and everything with no issues??!

I thought the same however I was told that D is the "upgrade version" and better than the E - whatever it is called I like it :-)

There is a significant price difference between the E and the Sinthered version....

Damn site cheaper than a new E-clutch every few miles (for those that have that issue of course).

From reading you're previous topic, nice to hear it's sorted.

It beats me though, Lambo should have this type of clutch as the original!!

Supercar ownership, eh?!

I'd happily pay the extra £1k to potentially get shut of the issue to be able to drive it worry free! How much was the total bill or was it FOC? Has anyone else had this clutch fitted? Let shope this revision is the last............

It's a weight off my mind....I can really enjoy the car now and I'm seriously happy.

BTW I saw a black LP640 when I went to pick my baby up and damn did that car look good....made Sophie look like a focus lol!

The interior is really nice too, very nice and very tempted too....

Notice how I tastefully dodged the cost question earlier? ;-)

To be honest, I couldn't have asked for a better resolution....

So Lambo get a big thumbs up from me!!

M, glad it's all sorted. Told you Mr Hudson would see you right.

The sintered clutch was actually standard from mid '06 onwards for the manual, by which time E-gears were being fitted with the E clutch (which works a treat. NEO's G has done around 30,000 on an E, mine 16,000 on the original C).

It was mostly manuals that were affected by weak clutches, and really only '03 and '04 cars at that.

I know I keep saying this but... Lamborghini have built around 5500 Gallardos now. If there was something fundamentally wrong with the clutches the internet (especially LamboPower) would be alight with complaints and critism. It's not. QED.

(Could I wave the Lamborghini flag any harder? Probably not! laugh)
