HOW ON EARTH DO YOU........

Open the BMW E46 key fob in order to change the battery. It appears to be a sealed unit, I've tried several methods, it must be some thing trivial.

Please can someone advise me.

If its the one with the coloured badge on it you may find it impossible. There is a guide here but its looks alot of work.

I'm sure the manual says it's sealed and re-chargaeble. It re-charges by induction when in the ignition. For this reason it also recommends changing main & spare keys regularly to keep both charged.
