S4 engine to fit in S2

can anybody tell me, if there is a chance to fit a 910S 2.2 Turbo engine (93-96) into a Esprit S2. I guess I have to do some changes at the frame and at the body anyway, but how about the gear box. The S2 type one was manufactured by Citroen and the S4 type was made by Renault. Because of the increased power, I would need the Renault type gear box, I think. Does that gear box fit somehow into the S2 frame and body ? Where can I get such a gear box and from what type of Renault did it come from ? Thanks for help.

Joe,

You can fit the engine into an S2, but switching to the Renault tranny also means that you will have to revamp the rear suspension as the Renault box will not accomodate the inboard brakes.

Also, you will need to install the Turbo radiator, oil cooler, Fuel Pump and regulator and adjust for the different electronics. All this is very doable, it's just that care must be taken to end with a good result. Happy Motoring! Jim'85TE
