Garmin 660 problems - Help!

My 660 crashes within a couple of seconds of booting up under its own power or when connected to the mains. No problems with USB connection, indeed have just downloaded the latest system upgrade. I'm fairly sure that the unit is fully charged.

I have tried the FAQs in the manual, but no joy.

Any ideas?

There's a possibility that the charger might be u/s. So try charging from the fag plug thing and check the power status display.

Switch the 660's power switch off, wait several hours with the 660 connected to the power source, then touch the screen and check it states "Battery charging complete".

Maybe a 'system reset' might clear the problem if it is still showing the symptoms you describe after charging from the car.
