The engine cover on my 4.5 won't fit properly. It won't lay flat because of the height of the last two purple induction hoses near the bulkhead. All I can think of doing is cutting the hoses down a little at the engine end and trying to lower the air boxes. Also the last hose is hitting the fuel pressure regulator. Because the cover is sitting high, it is difficult to such the bonnet. Any ideas?

Thats one thing i wouldnt suggest doing. My belief is if you alter the length of a couple of hoses youll proably alter to some degree the performance of the engine. The hoses are all of equal length for a reason...
You should be able to lower the air boxes a little on the 'L' shaped mounting brackets. I did on mine when my bonnet decided to rub on one of the boxes. I removed the brackets and used a "rat-tail" file and elongated the holes to allow the boxes to drop a little. This worked for me, and id suggest a better option than to alter induction hose length...(unless you change over to the TCS whirlwind pipes of course...see my profile pic for an example!)..smile

Wise thoughts, I'll can the cuts and see if I can lower the air boxes.
