924 fuel pump

i have a 1984 924, when i bought it the fuel pump used to make a buzzing noise and then every so often wail like a banshee.

last weekend the other half changed it over to a new one from GSF but the buzzing noise is still there.

i have asked on my normal owners club forum but they dont seem to know what could be causing it.

any ideas.

The buzzing is normal, you can hear it on all 924's but normally only when the car is stationary and idling. I beleive its common on 944's as well. nothing to worry about

so in short.. it was a waste of £50 for a new one as it makes the same noise as the old on.

any particular reson for it.. or just one of thoes TADIS moments.
