SP12's on a Griff anyone?
Discussion
Having to look for alternative wheels for my '97 Griff 500 and it's a nightmare finding wheels that I both like and are also made in the specs needed for the Griff. Ideally looking for a wheel that's plain and simple like the Estorils but in 17" / 18" as the style suits the flowing, uncluttered style of the Griff. Not having much joy there though.
Anyone got pictures of the Silverstone Performance SP12's on a Griff? Seen pics on Cerbs and Chims but the only griff is the silver one on their website? Not my preferred style but they seem good wheels and are a perfect fit so would like to see some examples if there are any.
Similar wheels that I prefer the look of are the Tecnomagnesio Detroits I've seen on another car (LeggitS3) but hard to find a uk distributor for these.
Any help appreciated.

Here's a pic of Team Dynamics pro-race 1.2 in anthracite on my moonraker black Grif .. These are 17f, 18r - more details are on the forum if you do a search on my posts. I had them custom made and supplied by demon tweeks.

No doubt SP will be along to tell you the advantages of theirs, but my pockets were somewhat shallower! (roughly speaking, the differences are that the Pro race have rim writing, different centre caps, spigot rings ...)
I think they really suit the car!

Lovely looking looking car. Nice wheels and great colour paint. When I am able to have a respray, I will be aiming for a finished article similar to that.

Thanks for the intro Steve...
The SP12 wheels are also lighter and the rear wheels are the correct offset (not a generic one that's considered "close enough". The SP12 is a tuning product, the Pro-Comp 1.2 is an aftermarket product.
Other Steve, sorry we haven't been on the ball in capturing pics of our wheels on different colour cars (your request has come up before) - must try harder!

Thanks for the replies guys!
Scoule, your car looks really good mate with those anthracite wheels to match the car. Thanks for the pic.
Full SP,
I'm certainly interested in a set of wheels for my Griff and you can see the offset difference in the centre of the rear wheel where the wheel nuts are set in more on the SP wheels. Obviously, they come at a price so I've not decided yet but after spending hours every night for a week trying to find either tyres for the existing Estorils or replacement wheel / tyre combo, it seems that yours are one of only a couple that actually fit the car properly. I've had a suspension upgrade and geometry setup done recently so seems a waste to then put on incorrectly fitting wheels. Ahh but they ain't cheap.....decisions, decisions.
Is there any chance of mailing me a quote (I'm a PH and TVRCC member) for a set of 17"front / 18"rear and then the cost of having them supplied with Toyo 215/40 & 245/35 respectively and an idea of availability? I'm in Scotland so a bit far to come to get them fitted. Would it be possible to have them delivered instead of the free fitting etc?
If you could mail me the details that would be great.
Many thanks for the feedback.

I believe the rear offset difference between mine and the SP is 3mm (mine are ET35mm), you wouldn't see that from a photo like that. SP may be able to confirm? FYI ... The spec of mine are:
7X17 PRO RACE 1.2 WHEEL 4X108 PCD ET25 IN ANTHRACITE 174108
PRO RACE 1.2 8 X18 WHEEL 4X108 PCD ET35 IN ANTHRACITE 184108
215/40ZR17 TOYO PROXES T1-R 87W
245/35ZR18 TOYO PROXES-T1R
