Test drive XKR
Discussion
Now I like my Monaro - in fact love it - but Jaguar had to come visit Orkney again and this time took an XKR with them. Tried to resist the urge but couldn't do it so took it for a wee spin I just wish I had the price of a small house spare to buy it. Slightly different league than the Monaro to say the least and it just makes me think more about getting proper suspension fitted. It just hugs the road at whatever speed you want and never broke traction although when I took it home I thought there were a lot of tar spots on the rear. It was in fact rubber I gave it a quick clean for Jaguar as a thanks for letting me abuse it for 3 hours. They're still here tomorrow so if it stays dry I may return for another go
Different kettle of fish. The Jag is a nicer place to be.
The Monaro/HSV is a rawer beast. Depends on what you want. I actually like the jags. XJR the favourite. Unlimited power on the GM's though. Supercharged 7.4L no problem 1000bhp with the Holden, the jag is reserved and civilized...
Are you Dr Jekel or Mr Hyde today?
