Had a slow puncture on the back tyre of GT3 yesterday. Fixed with the tyre sealant which looks like its done the job.

Will be getting the tyre changed, few questions.

In the meantime, the 50mph speed limit, is that only for when testing if the tyre had been fixed? Wording in the kit implies this.

Should I get both reares changed together to keep things balanced?

Has anyone considered getting road tyres on their GT3?

I would get both tyres changed at same time.

Not sure about the selant repair speed limit but 50mph sounds right enough with some foam sealant blocking a hole up.... smile

if your getting both rears changed then try and get down to a trackday before they are replaced and have a good time trying to rip them to shreds.hehe

that thought certainly occured, but bearing in mind the foam plugign the hole, am not 100% certain it would be a good idea.
however, its not as stupid as it might sound, tyre should not be any more at risk to a sudden failure, just need to make sure that the pressure is holding.

but...say i did have a blowout, wrote the car off and the investigation saw all the tyre sealent. not sure what the situation is there.
