added you as a contact biggrin

Nice shots, do you have your own studio? What lighting did you use?

also with regards to the models do they come to you or did you hire them, if so what costs (could you mail me if you want to divulge? )

Cheers

i use a localis studio thats fully equiped with lights and attachments. models i tend to go with TFCD (trade for CD) so I don't have to pay for both model and studio but it tends to limit style.

the lights are bowens but really the make is irrelavent so long as you can infinate adjust them between min/max. if you have not done it before I would tag along withsomeone that has to learn the basics and build your confience with working with models.

I have Interfit stellar kit and portable studio stuff at home though in the process of also adding in some drop down rolls - I like pure colour backgrounds like white/black but its getting boring now. I'm trying to get in with a friend of a friend who's quite well established to try and learn some tips from them.

I dropped out from work last year to learn the ropes and did a 1 year college course which taught me a lot. I'm getting frustrated at the minute as I have just moved house so working on getting things set up but more so its not getting time with models - If you could let us know how the tfcd thing works or what not it would be great as I cant really afford to pay for models biggrin

eta I really like the shots with teh brick work, as I said I do like clinical shots but am getting more confident to try different backdrops and location - nice stuff biggrin

when new models are starting out they have no portfolio, so in place of paying them in cash you pay them in pictures. this used to be prints but very few models generally, unless they need to present to an agency, use prints as its all webbased now really. so CD of the best images full size and smaller web use ones. get them to sign a release saying that they are being paid in images and they don't have any rights to the pictures other than for personal promotion or give them webuse ones and give them prints if they ever need them. forums include http://www.net-model.com,http://www.photo-models.co.uk and http://www.themodelbook.com but you need to have some pics of your own to start with lol.
