Hi,

I was wondering if anyone can help me?

I recently received a NIP for doing 93mph in a 60(reduced from 70 - for roadworks I think) in Wiltshire. I returned the NIP three weeks ago but have heard nothing since. I am assuming that I will have to go to court and that I am not going to receive a fixed penalty offer. Do I have to attend the court hearing? As I live in Brighton and I assume the hearing will be in Wiltshire?

Bad luck.
Wait and see what arrives in the post. If it is going to be heard in court then you may get less severely hammered if you turn up smartly dressed and apologetic etc.
If they're talking about a ban then evidence to show that you need a car for your job, or for helping an ageing relative might help prevent a ban.

What were you driving at the time?

Court will be where the offence (allegedly) took place. 30+ over limit is unusual to get fixed penalty. If you can make it to Wiltshire to go speeding, don't be surprised to be compelled to attend Wiltshire to take the punishment.

Court in North of Scotland regularly ordered a personal appearance with English tourists, just for the hell of it.

It's good to see the courts are caring to the environment then!
