Installing the leather dash today

Boy this is tough to do. But it looks great. Did I say it was tough. I'm tired and out of patience. You need lots of patience to get this right. When trimming the leather that goes into the slot around the front, I trimmed one place a tad too short. I'm hoping it won't be visable either from above or as seated in the car.

Time to rest and check out Craig's build site some more.

The leather was MUCH harder than the alcontara to do!

I did my pissed as a fart and it turned out great. I didn't have the guts to do it sober.

lol! So that's the secret

Lesson learned - make sure you do it somewhere as warm as possible. It helps the leather conform to the dash much better.

Just be grateful you're not doing the door skins (you aren't are you?). Now they are a COMPLETE nightmare!

Let's just say the door skins got 'straightened' by the factory for me - I didn't like the wavy line effect I had created along the bottom of the door. (That job was done sober).
