I know Lewis is stunning and he's beating FA BUT until he does something like this I'm afraid you can't compare, so here's a little reminder of the master at work, and lets hope Lewis can do such things in the future, I really wish the media would stop before they spoil things....

You just can't compare across eras and I wish people would stop.
It does Lewis no favours, does Senna no favours, does Schumacher no favours, does Clark no favours etc etc etc.
Senna had been in F1 for about 3 or 4 years by then. Lewis has been in for 7 races.
The cars of 1988 were much rawer than the cars now. Monaco has always been a unique track. Sennas style of hustling the car around could actually be that much faster around that track than Prosts.
Now the cars are so refined that it would be impossible for any driver to find more than about 0.5 secs over their teammate.
And at the end of the day there are no points for qualifying. Prost had relatively few poles compared to Senna and Schumacher, but won just as regularly, and secured four world championships in the process.

Pretty much what I wanted to say, but I doubt I could have put it so well!
Is it fair to compare Lewis Hamilton to Damon Hill?
In 93 Damon arrived for his first full season to drive with a multiple world champion in the top car in the field. He scored 10 podiums in sixteen races which included 3 wins. From memory I believe he also retired with mechanical failures from the British and German GPs whilst leading in the closing stages.
Thats all I could find out/remember about the 93 season but from those statistics Damons arrival on the scene sounds fairly impressive too. (If he hadn't suffered those two mech failures Damon would've finished a mere 2 points behind Prost - But as Murray always used to say "If is F1 spelt backwards"
