My drivers side window switch died recently and I was struggling to find the right replacement, I eventually found the manufacturer in Italy, a Company called Ansor who were extremely helpful. So helpful in fact that they sent me 2 brand new switches to Manchester FREE, all I had to do was email them my address. I'm not suggesting that they will do this on mass for everybody but at least we know where we can get them even if we have to cough up a few quid....I was lucky enough not to have to. Maybe if a few people need them they'll do a bulk order.

Here is the address and picture of the switch, it's the last switch. The lady I spoke to was Signora Ferrari, she speaks good English.

Andrew, you should add this to the "alternative S parts guide" for future reference for other owners. Nice one.

The bottom one, there's an option for different coloured backlight too.

They also have the S2 window switches items 455 / 456 although I have found these at local Motor Factors on the pre packaged parts shelf.

Excellent find. I've been looking for these for ages, as one switch was replaced by the previous owner with whatever he could find at the time.

Just contacted them and ordered some. Being posted today and I'll be invoiced in a few weeks when their local agent returns from holiday (!). Cost of 13.51 Euros.

Err, bit of advice guys please.

I have finally got an invoice from the suppliers European agent, who are in Germany. They are asking for €30 (euros), which I have no problem with.

They have asked to be paid by direct bank transfer. On speaking to my bank, they will charge £25+ for an international bank transfer!!

I think my best bet would be to ask for the agents address and simply send €30 cash via international surface mail. That automatically insures for up to £34 for loss or damage. Sounds a bit risky to me - but don't know of another (cost effective) way, unless they can take a Credit Card over the phone - but that seems dangerous too!

If they give you their account number can you not pay them online with your bank ? Surely that cannot get a £25 charge against it - you might not get the days best exchange rate but it will only be a few pennies on a few euro's. NB: Check with your bank's website because I don't know they will not charge a mint for this.

...and mine!

Anyway, point is paying directly into their bank account incurs a £25 charge! Crazy but true frown

Thanks for the kind offer, but I bought the new ones a few months back. I didn't expect the payment to be quite so difficult!

I didn't see this post the first time around otherwise I would have saved you some obvious hassle. If anyone else needs one or both, let me know. Can't remember them being backlit though scratchchin

Hi S3 David. i have the same broken switch on my sons car a toyota corolla, but i have been informed by the car spares suppliers of the UK, the electric windows are not factory fitted as the switches are not on the door It seems the switches came in a kit. Would you let me have one or both, as one is totally broken and the other a spare.probably gonna break soon, windows are well used.cheers
