I think i must have spent a good year thinking about whether to change my wheels to 17" front and 18" rear in order to update the look and make tyre choice easier. I had Toyo 15" on the old front rims and was shocked at how soft the wollowy they were grumpy Ah, but on a lower profile they will be fine i thought! Well, still not impressed. Yeah they are great for predictable behaviour but still not a very precise tyre. Anyway, my main grump here is when i accelerate hard, corner and hit a slight bump the rubber disfigures so much that the rim thumps the road!! Bloody hell. Anyone run 18" rears and have good tyres?? (Oh, and that is with 26psi)

All comments gratefully received!

Cheers
Jon.

Are you a bit beefy? Or is your suspension in good nick?

Bit beefy? Hmm well Chimjunkie does come from gymjunkie! But still a weedy 14stone rolleyes. Suspension is Nitron adjustable shocks and springs. All in good nick and handles well. Do feel that the tyres are so soft that the deform terribly. My bird has them on her Mini Cooper S Works and hates them!! Under ABS prevoking breaking the car wriggles all over the place eek

Really wanted the F1's on the old rims but not available for front.. But will definately change over to F1's when I've destroyed these things driving

Also trying to work out whether a slight diving of front end is bushes or the Toyo's...

Great pictures on your website Shorty!!
