I'm just in the process of getting a 996TT cab. My ideal spec is Lapis blue\black with the X50. However, that particular spec is proving hard to find.

price wise a 20k miles '04 (non X50) from an OPC is coming in around the £70k mark. I'd expect £65k as private sale if i could find one.

I've been offered a car with Metropole interior, and as i'm a) very impatient and b) want the car for the summer, i thought i could maybe go for a different interior. I'm just not sure how it;s viewed by the market come resale, i know that Savannah for instance can be a problem to shift?

Also, any views on these prices. Am i paying too much? Should i hold out for an X50 car?

Never buy a car with a metropole blue interior...the second born of your first born will when the sun rises in the west and the wind blows to the east bear horns and range terror on the lands of the north.....

For fvck's sake if the car is a good clean honest one then go for it! Its a turbo/cab which is a totally daft combo anyway so how much worse can it really be with a blue interior!

I have metropole blue in my boxster (arctic silver) and was a bit dubious at first but it's actually really nice, subtle and quite dark but lifts the cabin more than the black...

I wanted black originally but ended up with Metropole Blue. I like it and wouldn't think there'd be a problem come resale (not same as Savannah anyway, which seems to put a lot of people off).

I have a silver boxster with blue roof and blue interior looks the dogs. Black is to harsh in my opinion against the silver.

I have a Lapis Blue TT Cab with Metropole int, Blue is my favourite colour, so no brainer for me, i don't think it is in the Savannah league of No No's tbh...

I had a Vesuvious grey 996 C2 with Savannah interior, didn't have a problem selling it, had people all over it, most saying what a refreshing change from silver/black !

Looks really nice with the Aluminium hand brake and gear knob; Ok without. I'd say no impact on resale. Just an opinion though.

I also have a metropole blue interior ( seen in 911 & Porsche World-buyers guide 993TT, this month )and I think it looks good...and a more interesting alternative to black. I cannot believe it will make a difference come resale....

I'm pretty sure the 993tt in the current 911 & porsche world is NOT metrolpole blue. Metropole bluw or how ever its spelt was introduced at the launch of the watercooled car, boxter & 996 models in 96/97.

Met blue is darker.

Metropole Blue was certainly around in the 993 era (I have a polar silver with metropole blue interior - nice combo IMHO)
