Those are really nice guys.
Ok, So I didnt get to join the carnage/fun last night as I was off out. I did however get a couple of hours to start the M3 "Pistonheads Taxi". It's still not quite where I want it to be and the tear/fold is way from finished, but at least these images show you where it is going....
Ps. I think the first 2 are really good (I get it, Mad Max!!), but don't they need some revision's as I was told the paint work was anything goes but that the cars require the Pistonheads logos. Thats what I was told anyway, hence the reason its the "Pistonheads series".

how did you make the numberplate?

My trick with something like a numberplate is to make it larger than it needs to be (say on the roof of the car as a nice clean canvas) and then link the layers together and save as a "group".
For a numberplate I would first place a black oblong roughly the right shape (all be in bigger) then "stamp" the layer (this creates and 2nd layer that is an exact copy in exactly the same place)and resize the 2nd layer to be slightly smaller. Change the colour of the second to be yellow. then the rest is simply placing the text. the Euro boxes on each end are again, blue boxes with whatever text/flags reduced to the correct size and placed on the shape.
Once this is all done link the layers together and save them as a group. You can now delete them from the roof, go to the rear, load group, position and resize. Voila, a numberplate.
ps. Thanks for the comment Mekon, it only took 2 hours (although I can see another couple spent tonight as the folded metal is giving me a headache)

If you want to gift me a cheap unmarked car I can create on on the roof for you and gift it back so you can see how it all goes together. Once you've done it once it is really easy to do, I'm leaving it till last on the BM as it is a 2 seond job (In fact I just saved my Lambo's italian plate as a group so I can load that and change a couple of colours)
