Sigma 120/300 f2.8

Anyone out there got this lens? I'm looking for feedback before buying. Also if you've used it with a TC. I have Nikkors 70/200 and 200/400 but this trackside seems a very usable focal length.

I've never used one but they say it's one of the best Sigma lenses and sharp wide open. It's supposed to be quite heavy though.

Yep, I have one, it's excellent. Sharp, fast AF. Lack of IS/OS is a drag, and it's big and heavy. I use mine with a 1.4x converter most of the time, which works well, but the 2x makes it a bit too soft.

I also have this lens and it's great. The lock of IS is a draw back, but it is half the price of the canon 300 F2.8
