Stickers

Just back from Le Mans - fab trip.

Resolution for next year - get it properly stickered up - want 24s on the doors, a 24 Heures du Man sun strip and some PH logos - but why haven't we got a Porkers.co.uk sticker? - this Forum actually feels like it's got a bit of a separate identity from Pistonheads.

My wife and neighbours clearly think this is very childish - I even got told off by the 10 year old paper boy for putting a sticker on a Porsche, but who cares, it's all part of the Le Mans thing.

So what about it, a Porkers sticker?

...parked next to some old heap with a puncture! (sorry Mr Lambo owner, just parked there to pay for the fuel!)

We did also have 2 of the big-round PH Le Mans '07 stickers on bootlid too, but didnt get a snap of that...felt it was time to move-on before Lambo owner (who was prob a tad vexxed with his flat rear tyre) decided to show his displeasure!

what impact do the stickers have on the paintwork once you've taken them off?

long term they can effect the paintwork or if the car had had a crap paintjob.

short term i.e. a few months no effect.

I've stickered mine up for the last three trips (2 in the 968 and once in the Boxster) providing the paint is looked after and they are on for a short period the pait will be fine, just remove with a bit of heat (hair dryer?) previously I have just left it in the sun to let them warm up which seems to work!
