THats a very kind offer - it's for a friends car - for a trackday at castle coombe. I am booked on the day and my new car has been delayed by a month and therefore I have no car - so have offered the day to a friend, but he has a rather noisey exhaust!

Never had CATS fitted to a cerb in some 5 yrs of ownership. Never failed an MOT. Put the CATS in the boot once or twice.

Just a heads up - if you have an accident and they're not there your insurance will be invalid if the claims assessor spots it (car must be compliant with Road Traffic Acts with respect to being kept on public highway at all times). Drive carefully if you drive with no cats.

This has been debated before on a few occaisions. I dont remember this conclusion being reached before(not that I doubt the conclusion).

I've listed all the mods to my car (however trivial) to my insurers, including the fact that it has the cats removed. Puts the premium up a bit, but worth it in theory.
