Sports exhaust for 996tt
Discussion
hello all.
I have been contemplating a sports exhaust for a few weeks. I realise Tubi comes up time and again but are there alternatives out there that are just as good? Spotted a silver GT2 this morning on Princess Parkway on way into Manchester with what I think is a Techart system. Sounded good... nice and rumbly.
Feedback form anyone who has had new systems fitted please.
Thanks

I'm running a Techart system on my GT2, which IMO is very OEM like on tickover and low revs but really comes alive above 4k rpm, sounds almost Nascar like
certainly made a few people jump unexpectadly. Another benefit to this system is that it has almost zero drone at Motorway speeds.
Good luck in your decision.

I had Hayward & Scott custom build me a 3" straight-through system. Full 3" stainless, 100-cell race cats, and straight mufflers (not power-robbing chamber type). I absolutely love it. It makes a ton of power, and I'm sure some people wouldn't like how loud it is - I think it sounds exactly the way a serious car *should* sound. Last time I checked, all this garbage about "drone" isn't a scientific way about talking about measuring exhaust sound. There is some resonance in the mid-rpm range, as all aftermarket exhausts will have. The more free-flowing it is, the more noise it will make, and the more power it will generally make - FACT. I just drove from London to St Andrews and back last week and the sound didn't bother me one bit (7+hrs each way). Here are some pics and a sound clip. Talk to Ian if you want one like it, he's a good guy.

I put a designtek one on mine as it was < £1k, so far so good, Fearnsport have not started selling them so they can't be too bad!!
why so cheap? The sound is very nice, low rumbles < 3k, but on WOT it turns into a spitfire type noise, very addictive.....I need more tunnels
