These cars are ridiculously priced here, are you seriously getting them in England? If so I bet you get a better price than we do...

Can't find the price for the Clubman but the Streamliner is $120K here or approx £50K rolleyes
As I expected, yet again you can get an Aussie car cheaper in England than Australia. WTF!!?? And that is without factoring in the "Average wage" which makes it even cheaper still in England! mad

eta just found the clubman: $103K or approx £43K... me...

What is the average wage in Oz? For that matter what is it here?

GDP per capita is roughly the same (39,213USD (UK) vs 36,553USD (AU))

The angle of that shot makes the car seem like a pedal car.

The numbers I was given on another thread a while ago were Au $48K, UK £27K.
The figures I used for my Minutes work/litre were based on those numbers (and I forgot to deduct tax...) and $1.40/L against 90p/Litre IIRC.

Elfin are a long established Australian company, based in SA IIRC, and founded by Gary Cooper? Used to build F5000 and Open V8 sports racing cars (similar to CanAm style)

eta crappy phone pic of the Elfin at the Perth Motor show last month:

I've been at the Nurburgring this week (again cool ) and on Tuesday something which looked like a vastly overgrown VX220, wearing Opel badges, drove past me as I waited to pull out onto the 258. Might that have been one of these mythical beasts? Convertible, bright yellow.

Couldn't catch it up as it was off down the road whilst I was heading for the Dorint.

Ah - a little lateral thought turns up the answer. Not an Elfin that I saw, but one of these:

Nice looking. My very rudimentary german indicates that it's a 2.0 Ecotec Turbo.
