driving Did anyone see the TR7 V8 at arnarge blow up ? That man was a hero !!

He was camping in HA next to us and a really good guy. It is completely standard except it has a supercharged Range Rover engine in it, put out just under 400bhp on the rollers apparently. A proper sleeper car.

RAC are taking it back to the UK for him.

Agreed!! Does this mean that the brakes are woefully inadequate as are the clutch, gearbox, diff, suspension, etc...??

Do you know what happened to it ? gearbox or engine ?

That was Alf......he's always been a hero. The big ends went but he was still in good form afterwards. He was threatening to fit launch control to it and you are quite right it does have nearly 400bhp. It's fitted with a 4.6ltr Range Rover engine. Alf normally doesn't camp but stays in a hotel about 20 miles away. He is an absolute star and it's people like him that make Le Mans for the rest of us. He's also a very good mechanic and he's fixed my car more than once. Just one more thing about the car, it doesn't have a hood he just has a pub umbrella he puts ove the top. Top man

He was a star that nite ! I gave him a push of the road when it went pop. My mate got it on film going bang. The crowd went mad when it did. You're right it is people like him that make Le Mans ! Top Man
