Ok guys here goes, me and Firefoot went to Le-Mans this year as usual. We decided to go for a bit of a drive and had a slight accident. Basically came off a roundabout and hit a patch of oil, the LSD let go and i couldnt recover it, gutted cause i was only doing about 20 coming off the roundabout. I've had a few suggestions as to what needs repairing which goes like this:-

1. New Door
2. New Bumper (cracked)
3. New Mirror
4. New Sills
5. Rear Quarter bashed out and resprayed.
6. 2 alloys damaged to possible mot failure
7. rear adjustable camber arm bent

We wondered if anybody knows of a good accident repair/ body shop in the Cardiff/Barry area they can suggest or recommend. The car still drives straight and true, slight vibration from the damaged alloys but apart from that feels fine no engine damage at all. We managed to get it the full 900 miles back from Le Mans to Wales. We're both fine and hope to see you all soon cheers.

for quality you wont beat custom rides 02920 363633, take it down for a quote but their work is second to none. Say ben sent you and they will want to see the car to quote you

Gutted for you, glad your both OK.
DG always recommends Davies Motor Co (off Hadfield Rd IIRC).
He had a nasty old off in his Tam and it certainly looks fine now.

Can't help with the body shop recommendations I'm afraid but I'm sure someone will point you in right direction.

What happened to all the stickers though?

So sorry to see this happen but glad you're both OK.

Cardiff Audi recommended Davies Motor Co a few weeks ago .... to fix the damage that our 'driveway pillar caused' scratchchin to my girlfriends A3.

Thanks for your replies guys. As for the stickers they fell off due to the force of the impact lol. Seriously though Firefoot wanted the car back to black which i have to agree looks tonnes better. Just hope we can get the SX fixed quick so i can get my MR2 back. Only got 4 weeks till the next run, i have new wheels and a new bumper all waiting. Anyway heres the stickered up version of the damage for you that want to see gore lol.

Before :-

Pretty but deadly:-

Try 'Good as New' on 01446 795855, they do some nice work at very reasonable rates, ask for Trist!

If you're looking for someone in Barry then there are 2 places that I would recommend, Autopro are decent, good lads censored, did my race and do my vans - ask for Ritchie.

Atlantic Spray are also very good and will do cash deals, they do alot of high end stuff, just done my M3 and my old man's 6 series, both at an incredible price, ask for John.

these 2 are the best in Barry IMO and will do good deals and decent work

know the owners of atlantic spray and davies motor compnay, would say they are both very good and good guys. However, custom rides will do a better job i promise but best bet is get quotes from them all and go where you feel happy!

I used Davies and expected top quality job (they are Bentley approved after all) and have to say that I was a bit disappointed...

I guess that was you I met at Atlantic Spray Taffy.

Have to say I was a little concerned about the lack of inspection they gave the car. Didn't even get it up on the lift to check underneath. The guy asked me if I was in the trade as I knew so much about the car. Dont you love these people who assume women know nothing about cars laugh

Thanks for the various recommendations guys. Have plenty of quotes and will be getting a couple more tomorrow. Car will live again!

Hi Firefoot, yes that was me, sorry couldn't chat, was in a major hurry (as usual) they're tarting up my M3 for resale. They are a tad rough and ready in appearance but I can safely say that they are a decent outfit, been around for years, they've done alot my cars and vans and are respected, I wouldn't give them my car otherwise!

also gutted for you, hope that you get it sorted asap, and as other posts I do still recomend Davies Motor Co, who as Tony said did a great job on the Tam smile
