3000 miles - 2 weeks - no bother

Just got back from a great trip around Europe on Saturday. Black (best colour) VXR 56 plate.
Drove down to the Millau Bridge and spent a couple of days in the town and tracking up and down this fantastic bridge, every petrol-head should drive over this Viaduct at least once in their life! After a couple of days exploring the Mountains and passes (great driving roads) we travelled across to St Raphael (a few miles from St Tropez and a lot nicer people). Then across to Verona and then on to Venice (the only scary bit was parking in the very public car parks at Venice, this the 2nd time I have done it and all was fine). Finally we headed north up into Austria and Germany and then back into France and back to Blighty.
Great trip - car performed perfectly (picked up a few stone chips, but you would at 150 + (oh I am sure it was KPH officer). Averaged 24 to the gallon, glad I bought those new tyres before I left!
The car was really well received where ever we went; there are now smiles all across Europe! It had to be said that not many people had a clue what it was and many said they had never heard anything make that (much) noise!
Don’t be fooled by the small boot, we still managed 60 bottles of vino and the wife’s clothes.
My only tip if you decide to do the same is take your cheque book when buying a bulb kit - The Monaro uses some strange bulbs some of which only seem to be made in Australia (perhaps I was mugged by Vauxhall).

Which bulbs are odd ones, I was going to pick some up before I headed off and I thought the headlights looked normal enough H7 aren't they? They are dear enough for some strange reason twice the price of normal bulbs ( more and more new cars seem to be coming with these bulbs too).
