I will be interested to see if this generates any good gouge. All I can offer is the road between Milton and Histon has some nice tight corners, but there is a bit of traffic due to the A10. I have only driven it a couple times in recent years. Never exceeding the speed limit, of course.
Hi both just read your messages (new to this forum) if its not too late here goes:
1)A10 to Royston then turn left on B1368 at Harston.
Cross A505 & continue to Buntingford
Either:
turn left on B1038 to Newport( this is a testing little road)
or
turn right on B1038 to A10, crossing onto A507 to Baldock.
2)From J12 M11 take A603 to Wimpole, continue straight on at R/A onto B1042 to Potton, right on B1040 to j/w B1046, right to Great Gransden, cross A1198 and continue to j/w A603 & J12 M11.
If you fancy routes a bit further afield just ask.
If you want company any excuse will do otherwise enjoy.

Or head East... Plenty of great roads between A11 & Cambridge- Or if you can go a bit further- East of A11 is full of them...
I am based near Newmarket and my favourite circuit in the Caterham is as follows: (excuse lack of detail on road numbers, I haven't got a clue)
Head SE from Newmarket signposted Ashley / Claire: Great B road through beautiful countryside- loads of bendy bits and not too much traffic- but watch out for tractors.
Come to crossroads with main Bury-Haverhill road (A???)... Probably my favourite section- especialy if you time it right with little or no traffic. Through Haverhill and head out towards Cambridge... Go past Linton and keep going- Just before Great Abington turn right... head up towards Balsham.
Hit Balsham and turn right back towards Newmarket...
All in a cracking route- just right for blowing away the cobwebs at the right time.

then drive up the A1 towards St Neots, take the B645 East towards Kimbolton, where you pick up the B660 for 10 miles or so, then it loops back onto the A1.
