Sorry about this post, but I felt that I should stick up for our Tamora owners.
During the TVR display in the Super Sports Car day at Gaydon, when we were all in the display arena, the TVR spokes man glossed over my Tamora saying it was the baby of TVR's.

My Tamora is now a 4.0L Red Rose with Nitron Shocks, maybe classed as a Saggy Basher and a Tuscan Beater, I hardly think it is a baby of TVRs.

And, another thing, my Tamora goes on the rolling road next month, so I would gladly show him the results. It is not only about gold Chims and Grey Tazmins, although Dans' Sag stole the show, I felt a bit nark'ed when he just brushed my Tamora as though it was nothing.

For what its worth I think the tamora is a class beater and those I have seen like Flyboys have been outstanding cars.

oh yes
i have always been very fond of the Tams. they may not have sold as well as their big brother Tuscan, but the Tam could well be TVR's best kept secret! especially from all the positive things i have been told/read on here about them!

baby? thats a little harsh... ok slightly more toned down styling maybe, not as bat mobile as a tuscan or sagaris but its the same engine, same or very similar chasis and sphinchter twitching performance as any other modern tiv!

you take things too seriously. Perhaps you need to get out more.

Why not upgrade to a Griff or Chim? Then you wont have the baby TVR?

I feel for you, someone on this very web site referred to the S6 Cerb as the 'runt of the litter'!

I'm a late convert; I used the think they looked a bit tame, but I have learnt to appreciate them. They are cracking!
As and when funds allow, a Rolex Blue Tam is top of my list! biggrin

My hubby has always said how great the Tamora is to drive. He used to love road testing them at the factory and we would agree that the Tamora is probably one of TVR's best kept secrets

Sunday was the first time I had seen a Tamora in the flesh so to speak, I rather liked it and even had a quick look on the classifieds. Up till now if I was going to go for one of the newer TVRs then it would have been a Tuscan but the Tamora is top of my list now.

Buying one will not happen soon though as I still enjoy driving the wedge.

Ian,

I am sorry to read this and have some concerns over this scenario., as Frank Smith and myself were called upon to provide some info (experts...I think not!) surrounding the history of the brand and the 19 TVR's that were on display in the arena.

This was not a planned affair, and was sprung upon us literally a few moments before we got into the cars to drive to the arena.

I know that I got one of the cars on display slightly sayimg that this Chimaera was a 4ltr....when it was a 4.5...the owner made a joke of it afterwards.smile

I do not recall, refering to the silver Tamora as a baby...that said I was a little nervuos to be honest, and I can't think that I would have because I have never considered any TVR as a baby, all deserve respect imho.

I dropped you an email earlier as you may want to discuss this with me I included my mobile number...please give me a call.

Thanks

Pah he glossed over mine as well, probably because we were outsiders to the Warickshire lot. smile

He didn't even say the Cerbera was the fastest - and just to prove it - here's us on the way home, seeing if we could catch you up:
