Hello all out there. I just got my first Lotus Esprit!!. I had been looking for a nice s4s for a long time. I found one in Chicago, IL. It's blacka and it has 17K mi. It's on a truck to California right now. Can't wait to get it. I am starting to get educated on all the ins and outs of the Esprit. The Esprit fact file has been great. I will be in touch and let you know how it goes and from time to time post a question. This is a great resource to learn and share.

Congrats Manuelin!

You've just joined a great group of people. As a relative new guy myself, these lists and the EFF are a great source of info. I also recently purchased a black s4s and love the car.

Welcome

Yipee, hello there

Hey another black one!! Well great choice of car, hope you enjoy it like we have and share your great experiences.

Ha ha The partner will suffer, house chores now last on the list, car parts like oil get thrown in at the supermarket, avoiding family get togethers on the weekend so you can escape and get lost in the car. Professional career work output declines as your wondering what mod to do to the car next.
Hey its all healthy and good. Luckily my man has identical behaviour problems.

Hi Ed. I live in Gilroy, World's garlic capital. I spent a few years at San Luis Obispo, Calpoly. Nice area down there.

That sounds about right for a plan Kyle.Fortunately there are a lot of car events on this side of the land. A friend of mine has two old Maseratis. I haven't told him yet about my purchase. I will just pull into his driveway and watch his jaw drop. I am sure he'll ask me to join his exotics club.

Hi Manuelin,

Congrats on your purchase. I graduated from cal poly in 1990. So it is great to know someone with an esprit is close to me. If you have any questions regarding your esprit, I can be of some help since I have replaced almost every worn out part. I can even give you the correct prevent maintenance program so you wont go thru some of the frustrations I went through. I do recommend one thing for sure, get the 330hp chip from Sanj. This chip turns your car from kinda fast to drop dead in your pants fast. Heh heh. One thing though, you have to prepare and tune your car for this!

Cheers,
Dindo

Thank you Dindo, I am sure with the S4S's Calpoly no longer is 'SLO'w town. I am very interested in doing the right preventive maintenance. That's the first thing I ned to check on the car. I was given all sercice records and I need to look at them in more detail. I would like to do some mods later on, so whatever you can share on that would be greatly appreciated. Have a nice long weekend Dindo.
