Any tips on the easiest way to get to the rear lower manifold bolts, I just can't get a spanner (and turn it) on the little bugger. smash
Only need to nip it up, so is there a secret knack to it, I'm thinking a dog legged spanner might help but anyone got any clues? rotate

a short semi-cranked 9/16 ring spanner with the crank facing away from you works OK, its just time consuming as its one of those 1/18th of a turn at a time jobs....

I'd recommend replacing the bolts once its out as well newer bolts tend to have more thread left and so don't work loose so easy, my local bolt supplier only charged me 3 quid for 16....

If its offside, lie under the car with feet pointing towards rear and you should be able to reach it pretty easy with your left hand, if its nearside, you can get to it from the top or jam your hand up from underneath! Bit of a bugger for either of them...!

Well I managed to get a 14mm spanner on the top one scratchchin
But cheers for the pointers, gives me some new ways to try and nip the bugger up before I take the skin off my knuckles and pop it round my local spanner mans with a car lift. rotate

I can get to both sides using a shortened 14mm. Around 4.5 inches long.
