Mk3 Golf Cabriolet questions....

What are they like? I am keen to purchase a £3-4k cabrio and the Golf seems to fit the bill. I've had a Mk4 (not cabrio) before and liked the car.
I like the glass heated rear screen and the additional safety of the rollover hoop. Do any of them have Air-con?
Any wise words from experts/owners that might help in my research?

well the mk4 cabby is based on the mk3 cabby. its just a face lift basically.
I believe so that some came with air con.
Great car, i am buying the mk3 version in October when the prices are a little lower.
had a friend who had a crashed VR6 and transplanted the suspension, engine running gear from it... was awesome.
the avantgarde is the model to go for.
