Who's going then ??

I think we will, haven't had much racing so far this season so it's an opportunity to get some more in bounce

I'm just waiting for the timetable so I can check that we have time to do both qualifying rounds as well as both races, the BRSCC should have it tomorrow

I'll be there mate (obviously), ooh team tactics! Pity us PS1 guys aren't also allowed to go up with Britcar though, seems a tad unfair teacher

I'm not going as I will be heading back to Spa a few days later for the 25h Fun Cup and could do with some rest rather than the 200 miles drive up to Oulton.

Things seem to have changed a touch, thanks to at bit of BRSCC re-jigging, there is now only one 50min race that combines Britsport and Production, that's as I understand it anyway, so I doubt that any Britcar teams will deem it justifiable to go there for a single race.

We're no longer going and it does now sound like the grid is full for the one race event.

Never mind, we'll go testing instead driving

Yes i can confirm that as at 2pm yesterday (Thursday) we have decided to amalgamated the two grids...we could not run with 15 on each.

Its still a 50 min race and the timetable will be available on the website very soon. The entry list for your infomation is on the website. Under EVENTS and Oulton Park - 30th June....

The BRSCC have put on an additional sprint race for all competitors who are already racing for £ 85.00. What a bargain!!! Its only a 15 min race but will be on a first come first served basis. Please contact Sharon Smith at the BRSCC HQ.....01732 780100

In answer to your question Racing Rod..yes we have some Britcar Competitors coming even though its one race....they just want to keep racing!!!

I just got back from there and I have to say that despite the rain it wa a top weekend. Many thanks to all the drivers that turned up and raced despite the deluge, and an even bigger thanks to the marshalls that stood out in the rain all day to make it possible. This is the first 'wet' event I've ever been to and although I have a couple of friends who are marshals, I have an even more profound respect for you.

Also a great big congratualtions to Mike Gardiner and Moore Racing who brought their car home in thrd place over all, ahead of all but one Prototype and the F360. That was one astounding drive to watch. It must have been those 1 million watt headlights drying the road ahead of you! :P

(sorry for the quality of the pics. I only have a poxy 2.1mb camera. Its enough to record memories, but not sharp ones biggrin)

Just got back as well, have to say that I thought the whole weekend was extremely badly run by the BRSCC, the quality of the decision making on the test day was appalling, 12 laps for a whole day is ludicrous. Even in qualifying this morning, did they really have to redflag quali for 2 tyres at Knickerbrook, absolute crap

Having said that, the 5 laps that I did have was ok and having been neck and neck with the moore car for 2 of them I'd also like to congratulate the moore guys and mike gardiner, cracking car and a cracking performance

Hey taffyracer, you wouldn't have happened to be the guy chatting to Richard after the race about the engine, would you? If so. I was the guy in the wheelchair.

I was really frustrated not not make it in the end. I woke up with a Blinding headache (No it wasn't a hangover!) and decided I wasn't in a fit straight to drive for 3 hours up to Oulton. I was looking forward to getting some great shots too.frown

(Sorry again for missing your message Steve, hopefully we can arrange something in future?)
