Purely hypothetical thread alert.....

Assuming that you were a member of a forum for your own make of car, and assuming that at the top of that forum there was a sticky thread offering potentially good rates of car insurance......

.....so, if you were to contact said insurance company and supply all your details for a quote, and if after three days they still hadn't even bothered to call you back with a quote, would you tend to feel that if they couldn't even offer a decent level of service when they're about to take a significant sum of money from you, then god help you if you ever needed to refer a claim to them?

Just wondered......

I was more than happy with them, they quoted me on the phone and didn't have to wait for any calls back etc.

Quote was for ~£800 with all mods declared.

I also recently needed to contact them to amend the policy and this was completed with no fuss and no charge

LOL, I've been bad aswell well but not as bad as you, only half way to needing a bus pass!!

I now use the sponsor mention, very cmpetitive quote given over the phone, but when the paperwork came through, they had my name wrong, the address wrong (lucky guess by the posty) and the car details wrong! Not a great start then, still they appear to have it right now and haven't changed the premium, just hope I don't ever need them for anything!!

A-Plan offer a scheme for MGF's (My current car) and the service we get is fantastic and no one can match their price, but we deal with only the Bletchley, Milton Keynes branch (01908 271771). Might be an idea to give them a call.

I was very pleased to see that they are advertised on here as I was planning to insure my Monaro with them when I buy one in the next month or two.

Before anyone asks I do not work for a-plan, just insure my car with them.

My cousin's my insurance broker, but he couldn't get near what A Plan were quoting, and advised me to go with them for the first year at least..

Can't say they were any worse than any other large company, all depends who you get on the end of the phone really.
