Toxic Maison Blanche mud

If anyone still has any MB mud on their car, wash it off pronto. I nearly got stuck in the mud on MB and spattered the car getting it out. The mud was on there for a couple of days before we found a jetwash. Unfortunately, I now have about forty marks on my paintwork where the mud has attacked the paint, and one hell of a de-glaze/polishing job ahead of me to get the shine back!

Seriously, the stuff's bl**dy corrosive! God knows what they feed their animals before they get them to cr*p all over the campsite!

My car is also shafted. Left on Monday, washed Tuesday night. Washed again yesterday. I have hundreds of awful marks and stains all over, It looks a right mess. Going to have to spend a whole day cutting back the layers of polish and wax and redoing the whole lot.

Toxic cow crap. They probably put chocolate in thier food or something. Its in everything else.

I was hoping BSJ mud was ok, I've still not had chance to wash mine!

Washed the car three times and waxed it after that its looking ok now still need to jet wash the arches though as the mud is caked on in there!

Can't quite understand this. Maison Blanche is empty for 9/10th of the year and certainly no animals (except one or two idiots of the human persuasion unfortunately) are ever allowed in. The soil here isn't corrosive at all. Are you sure that you didn't pick up the problems elsewhere?

Absolutely positive. I spotted the problem as soon as I jetwashed the car (gently of course). I took a look and thought "Oh my ******* god!!!!".

Where abouts did you get stuck? With the exception of the section along the trees the site seemed pretty good. Even the fire lanes near us were a bit boggy but not so that you'd get stuck?

Bit difficult to describe, but near the bit where the rubbish truck had to be towed out. It was seriously muddy on our section. Don't forget as well that I'm driving a 1970's motor with a binary clutch. I was going well until I caught a rut from an earlier car and a slight uphill slant. Then it all got a bit mucky :-)

I got it out, but only just!

That makes it special or more difficult to drive/control the clutch bite?

It's just an uprated ACT clutch. Not special, just a pig for hillstarts and delicacy in the mud.

When I'd had it fitted I went to collect the car and my mate whose house it had been at was hovering around.

"What are you waiting for?" I asked.

"We've got a book running on how many times you stall it" he replied.

I have had a similar (but lesser) problem from MB...however, I think it was fireworks debris rather than the mud...
