Can anyone advise me where I can get a n ew centre lock for the service bonnet.
Mine has got the "shot bolt" missing and so I can see the service bonnet bouncing when I drive.
I have checked at TVRPower and as yet after 4 weeks had no call back.

It is probably repairable but at the moment I havn't figured out how it comes apart at the bolt end.
I guess there must be a threaded insert in the fibreglass but not sure.

Any advise is welcome.

If you can't find a new one then try one of the breakers like douglas valley for a second hand one to tie you through.

Unfortunately it appears that the pin gets broken if the car is involved in a front end impact
so I am getting negatives from breakers.
I think that it should be repairable but at the moment I cant see how it strips down.

Has your car had a front end respray? Excess paint can jam it up.

I would take the big bonnet off and take the catch off to have a real good look at it, scraping any paint off the pin itself if you can get it out.

I had the small service bonnet resprayed last year but the lock pin is completely missing.
I want to strip the lock assembly down but am not sure how it is secured on the underside of the main bonnet just behind where the lock pin should protrude.
There is a u shaped bracket and a round block that would hold the lock pin.
I need to remove the round block so that I can see what happened to the lock pin and get an idea
of how it fits into the round block.
My impression is that the round block is screwed into an insert in the GRP but I dont want to cause any damage by forcing it.
Do you know how the round block is fixed ?
Any advise very welcome. At the moment I have got tape holding the centre of the service bonnet down as the side clips pop out at around 100mph otherwise.
