Just ordered a poverty spec Cayman S in white and 19 inch Carrera S wheels.

I thought about having them painted in Mexico Blue (as per '73 RS) but I wasn't brave enough.

In the end I went for gloss black with silver lip.

Now I'm not sure and think that matt black/silver lip might be better.

Comments- adv/disadv please.

BTW I tried photoshopping to get an idea but I ended up with purple wheels. banghead

currently have a gloss black set with silver edge, will repaint in satin black or graphite next time, wouldn't consider matt.

Gloss black - or something like Atlas Grey.

I have gloss black/silver BBS RA rims on my Golf GTI Mk2 runabout and they look great.

Have you seen any of the Caymans in white with the red wheels - there are a couple in the Porsche dealer network and they also look great.

Good luck with the car - it sounds great!

When the dealer said gloss or matt, I actually said I'd prefer satin but he just laughed.

Is it possible to get satin black from Porsche?

Any idea of a paint code?

I've seen the red ones and I like them but I'm not that much of an extrovert to actually drive one like that, hence the "mexico blue" idea, but still wasn't brave enough, so went with the black.

I know, I know, grow some balls. frown

Not me. Unless the blokes in the Baker Street NCP have got some Ferris Bueller thing going on.

And there was me getting it done so I could be different. The white and black looks very cool BTW.
