Can anyone recommend a top bodyshop (don't mind travelling) that would be able to undertake a complete colour change to a Cerb. I'm after a really top job, where glass would be taken out all shut-lines properly painted and maybe even getting the engine out (dependant upon price) so that the engine bay can be done properly too.

Also, has anyone any ideas on what I should budget pricewise.

Looking to go from a faded red to white (the same white as the last Cerb - if anyone knows the name of it?).

Cheers

It was something odd like pepperpot white

How about Austec for the respray? I believe a number of PHers have used their bodyshop and are happy with the results? smile

I've thought about the same (see profile - no, it's not pink!) but £3.5k seems a bit much for what is essentially a personal preference.

Spend the money on induction, nitrons and exhaust upgrades - the colour is a blur to witnesses, you're the only one who truley knows what colour it is.

Yeah, don't worry about the colour.

Just drive it more and, when you are on the inside of the car, you won't be able to see the colour. biggrin

If your looking at a Front & rear screen out and Engine out re-spay, I reckn that wil bring the cost up to nearer £5k at least. Why not just sell your car and put the £5k towards a newer one in a the colour that you like?

Slight problem with that...next door neighbour's know what colour it is when it's parked on the drive...

...oh the shame of it laughtongue out

Trouble with colour changes is the V5 history, and will you be happy with it knowing there might be some hidden areas of original colour?

If you can live with those points, then do it.

The main reason for the change is because I love the look of a Cerb in white with black spiders - I think it looks the business. Problem is, I do not know of any white one's ever being for sale except the last Cerb, which was a bit out of my price bracket!

I'm sure someone in the know said that there was only about 3 ever made in white or something like that anyway.

Newlun Design, not far from Silverstone, do a decent job. Mine had a full colour change there, and there is no sign of the old colour anywhere. I have seen other cars done by them. Always a good job.
