Having sold my late, lowish mileage 993 coupe only a matter of weeks ago, i've now decided/realised that rather than downgrading to an Alfa GT or similar as I'd planned, I could instead just buy an early, high mileage 993! Eureka!

So, is anyone on here interested in selling? Any year or mileage is fine but a full service history would be important. Any colours except yellow, white and red. Manual or tip is fine, as is c4 or c2.

Cash is waiting for the right car. I'll pay a fair private sale price but no more. I'm based in Dorking, Surrey but will travel.

Email me or give me a ring on 07903 254399.

Cheers.
Nodz

That 171k mile car looks superb considering it's been to the moon and back!
This looks pretty good too: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/192444.htm

Good idea by the way, much more sensible than an Alfa hehe

Yes i saw those two VSW. Due to a dodgy groin/knee i'm leaning towards a tip at the moment but these cars are the right mileage/price for me. Thanks for looking.

I'm not that keen on the exterior colour but apart from that this looks like a cracker: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/187422.htm

I'm actually a big Aventura fan and i'm interested in this car but see my other thread/topic "Anyone get a green 993 inspected...." for complications!

KennyBoy - it's actually misadvertised as 1996. I did a free data check and it turned out to be a 1995 non-varioram. Yet another reason for doubts about the car...although the owner said it was an honest mistake.

The average distance to the moon is 239,063 miles so in fact its just over two thirds of the way there on the outward legteacher

£18k is a lot of money for that kind of distance.

ahhh of course - just checked the engine bay pic again. damn I lose a point in the '993 anorak' league table!

hmmm I'd be cautious too

Richard,

give up on this 993 nonsense, what you need is a lovely 964 like the attached.

I just sold my 928 (hopefully get cash this pm) and 996 Targa and replaced them with a 996TT so am down to the two for now !

Hi David

How are you finding the 996tt? A 996 C4S is on my (very long) list?

As for the 993 v 964 debate? Call me shallow, but I just prefer the 993 looks (plus that added confidence in the reliability).

And I've got the 968 cab for open top motoring (and you got me into them).

Havent found it anything yet, I pick it up this weekend ! Understand how you feel about the 993, its how I feel about the 964, those wings are what symbolises an air cooled 911 for me (can't get excited about the way the 993 looks from the front, nice arse tho). The good thing with 964's that are out there now is all the issues will have been fixed, have never had a moment's problem with either of mine.

Good luck with your search and take that C4S off your long list, TT or bust I say !

Kenny,

How can you tell from the engine bay pic? (I only have a castrol GTX rally jacket... smile)
