Not for me I hasten to add ...

My sister has somehow managed to get something on her lens (Nikon jobby that came with her D40), which she says has will need "chiseling off" - which is not sounding good.

(I had suggested using the lens cap a little more, and a filter as she has young children).

Anyone got any ideas, or is it new lens time.

If it's really gunky and won't come off with a lens cleaner (I presume on the outside of the lens) then use 'FAST GLASS' (posh non smear window cleaner for cars) and very gently wipe said gunk off.

You can then use the rest of it on your car smile
