So There I was minding my own business just surfing through the threads when I saw a place that had some SO2pps - so I grabbed a couple. Then I saw a thread on dampers, I called Nitron - dampers on order!

Poor old credit card cannot take this anymore

Good good.. I've found a place (I hope) that can supply them, so I'm getting a couple to replace my rear Toyo's on the Tuscan.

I got a pair of rear SO2s from Charlie Browns in Huddersfield, they got them in the next dat and did em for £150 each... if that's any help!

I had some S03s fitted (front), when I couldn't find SO2s and this is the result after a few ..... erm...... enthusiastic laps



They certainly gripped well, there was a little understeer* on the way in and nice progressive oversteer on the way out

How does this compare to SO2 wear ??

* but I had the pressures up at 27psi (heard something about weak sidewalls and wanted to be on the safe side)

What's wrong with fitting Toyo's. I've still got tread left after 10500 miles, plus one track day, on the Tamora rears. They handle and grip superbly. Just a thought.

Got two fronts on my last service in March. Christopher Neils TVR dealer in Cheshire. £150 each fitted so not too bad.

Hi Nubbin,

I has Toyos on the rear of the Griff. I found that the softer sidewalls made the steering les precise and on initial turn in the car felt like it was about to oversteer as the car took up the flex in the walls. I tried different pressures but it did not make much difference until the pressures were so high it started to reduce the contact patch.

When I first used the Toyos the car felt different but i could not put my finger on it, then you start to get used to the handling.... Once I went back to the SO2s the improvement was instant

PROGRESSIVE???? That a new definition Didn't seem that progressive when I was riding with you! Try words like "Full-blown, lairy, excessive, manic, etc."

There is a tyre brand called General which make Bridgestone tyres under license. I wonder if they will make an 'SO2'?

Plus they are less than half the price of the equivalent tyre.
