There's a mini micro-switch in the doors that's used as a window limit switch.

The "arm" on the one in my passenger door is missing and someone has bypased the switch.

I want to get it back working.

I've had a look in "equivalent parts" but couldn't see any mention of it there.

Does anyone know a Maplin / Farnell / RS number for it?

Thanks in advance.

I think the switches are normal 2 wire micro switches. I don't know a number, sorry.
I've left the levers off the switches and superglued some small, round pieces of plastic to the glass, so when the glass comes down the plastic touches the button of the switch and switches it to 'pop' the door open.
The thickness of the plastic needs to be fairly exact so the button is just pressed and the switch isn't knocked, but it was quite simple to do.

They are actually extra-small micro-switches.

I'll probably be passing Maplins in the next few days.

If I am I'll bring the old switch along and hopefully match it there.

I didn't get any where Maplins last week and now I see another thread running on a similar topic.

Does anyone know the Maplin, or similar, part number for this switch?

I've been looking for these for a while, the closest I found at Maplins were these http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=34835...

Haven't tried one yet to see if it fits though.

Maybe the roller switch on the maplin site is best, I thought the lever on the switch rubbed against the window glass so the metal lever would scatch it, or, thinking about it, the glass goes up past the switch, to leave it uncovered, so when the glass comes down it could snap the lever off when it hits the roller! Thats perhaps why TVR used a plastic lever. Hmm confused

i was yesterday trying to find out what was wrong with the door on mine, the window seems to have a mind of its own, maybe sensor.. but this bloody switch everyone's trying to find, sliced and diced my finger! window went up while i was "testing the 'clickyness' of the switch" to see if it was that. The GF found it very amusing when it happened...
